Licensing
Your ECOSIRE apps (Property Management, Construction & Site Management, Kenya eTIMS) each run under an ECOSIRE license. This page explains what that means in practice — it's a short read, and most staff will never need to act on it.
Where it lives
Licensing is deliberately tucked away like a settings screen, not a main working app — you won't find it on your daily Desk home unless you go looking. Open it via the Awesomebar: search ecosire license, or from License in the sidebar if your role has access.
How it works
Each ECOSIRE app (Property Management, Construction, eTIMS) has its own Ecosire License record with:

Domain-binding — what it means for you
Each license is bound to your live domain (your ERPNext site address). This is a standard anti-copy protection: if someone copied your database onto a different server or domain, that copy's license would not activate there — it stays tied to activations on your registered domain. You don't need to do anything about this day to day; it only matters if the system is ever migrated to a new server (in which case ECOSIRE support re-issues or re-binds the license as part of the migration).
Status meanings
- Active — everything's fine, no action needed.
- Grace — the license has lapsed but the app keeps working for a short grace period while you renew, with a non-blocking banner reminder.
- Blocked — the grace period ran out. Contact ECOSIRE support to renew.
- Unverified — the license hasn't successfully checked in yet (usually just after first activation).
For the Construction app specifically (and by the same design principle across all ECOSIRE apps), a license lapse only raises a non-blocking desk banner — your BOQs, work orders, certificates, progress bills, retention releases, and daily/plant logs keep working while you renew. Licensing is a reminder system, not an operational kill-switch.
If you see a license warning banner
- Note which app the banner refers to.
- Forward it to your System Manager or directly to [email protected].
- ECOSIRE will issue a renewed key; your System Manager enters it on the relevant Ecosire License record and saves — this re-checks and re-activates the license immediately.
